As long as you're doing what God is leading you to do, DO NOT concern yourself about what OTHER people have to say about you because when you stand before God, they cannot stand with you and there is nothing they can say on your behalf.

A lot of spiritual leaders dress their best for God but have very little to do with the lifestyle of Jesus Christ ....He personally associated with and ministered to the grass roots of all society - regardless of lifestyle practices.
Don't trust anyone with your eternal destination. Read and STUDY the Word of God for yourself because you will stand before God by yourself.
2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. SECOND HAND INFORMATION is never as effective as receiving it FIRST HAND FOR YOURSELF.
STOP WAITING FOR OTHER PEOPLE TO GIVE YOU A WORD FROM THE LORD AND GO AND GET IT FOR YOURSELF FROM HIS WORD! Here's a great verse to start with: 2nd Timothy 2:15 It is better to try and get along with living loved ones now because it is pointless going to the grave of a dead loved one and saying I'm sorry.
Stop looking for personality traits that you knew and still expect to see and instead, look for the power of God at work in the lives of His children.
If you are not prepared to go through the process of preparation for service unto God and your fellow man -as did Joseph and David and many of the committed men and women of the Bible- you cannot expect to receive the earthly blessings or heavenly rewards they have and will receive from God.
When you ask God to guide you, you must be willing to follow where He leads.
Physical appearances can be enhanced in many ways, creating a false perception of what we really look like to others, but the truth in our hearts/minds is on full blast to God.
