For those of you who are asking the Lord to bless you with children, ask HIM to make your role in their lives very clear AND to show you the plan you must work through for them when they get here…in order for them to live the life YOU planned for them.
Judges 13: 8,12 (GNT)
8 Then Manoah prayed to the Lord, “Please, Lord, let the man of God that you sent come back to us and tell us WHAT WE MUST DO WITH THE BOY WHEN HE IS BORN.
12 Then Manoah said, “Now then, when your words come true, WHAT MUST THE BOY DO? WHAT KIND OF A LIFE MUST HE LEAD?”
Samson’s mother was so excited to be having her first child at a very late age in life that she did not consider the journey he must travel to become what God had purposed him to be, nor her role in getting him there.
Manoah, her husband, needed more information beyond his excitement of becoming a father…he needed to know their role in Samson’s life, what was expected of Samson and the kind of life Samson should live.
Parenting is more than giving birth. Seek God’s plan for your child’s life. Seek God’s role for you in your child’s life. Do your part in making God’s purpose for you child’s life a reality.
