Dear God,
We pray for the people of Oklahoma who are experiencing the devastation of a horrible tornado. We ask that you comfort them and strengthen them within, so that they can face this situation in wisdom and confidence and move forward in rebuilding their lives.
It is hard for many to understand how a good God can allow something like this to happen. Please help us to know that when You created the world, You did not create it for us to experience bad things but the decision of our original earthly father, Adam, to disobey You, caused him to be displaced from the perfect environment that YOU created for us, to an imperfect environment that has left a negative impact on all of his offspring. This negative impact brings with it disaster, suffering and pain.
In the midst of this devastation, help us to realize the impact we have on the lives of others and in so doing, live our lives according to Your will so that we will influence others in Godliness and truth.
