Jesus replied, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho. Robbers attacked him. They stripped off his clothes and beat him. Then they went away, leaving him almost dead. A priest happened to be going down that same road. When he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. A Levite also came by. When he saw the man, he passed by on the other side too.
DO YOU HAVE RESPECT AND LOVE FOR ALL PEOPLE CREATED BY GOD OR IS YOUR LOVE FOR HUMANITY BASED ON RACE, NATIONALITY, COLOR, SOCIETAL STATUS, PERSONAL PREFERENCES OR RELIGIOUS BELIEFS? ARE YOU ONE OF THE TWO MENTIONED ABOVE?
But a Samaritan came to the place where the man was. When he saw the man, he felt sorry for him. He went to him, poured olive oil and wine on his wounds and bandaged them. Then he put the man on his own donkey. He took him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two silver coins. He gave them to the owner of the inn. ‘Take care of him,’ he said. ‘When I return, I will pay you back for any extra expense you may have.’ “Which of the three do you think was a neighbor to the man who was attacked by robbers?”
IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THE SAMARITAN WAS A GOOD NEIGHBOUR. CAN YOU HONESTLY SAY THAT IF YOU HOLD A PARTICULAR NATIONALITY AT A SUBSTANDARD LEVEL IN COMPARISON TO YOURSELF AND ONE OF THEM WAS DESPERATELY IN NEED OF HELP, THAT YOU WOULD SEE THEM AS YOU SEE YOURSELF- ONE OF GOD’S CREATIONS – AND TREAT THEM THE WAY YOU WOULD WANT SOMEONE TO TREAT YOU IF YOU FOUND YOURSELF IN THAT SAME PREDICAMENT?
JESUS SHOWED UNCONDITIONAL LOVE FOR EACH OF US AND IF WE CLAIM TO BE A PART OF HIS FAMILY, WE MUST SHOW UNCONDITIONAL LOVE FOR EACH OTHER.
No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. (1 John 4: 12, NIV)
