What does the Bible say about Sin? Is it something that affects us from without or within?
Mark 7:21-22 (KJV)
21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
In the Garden of Eden, sin originated in the mind of Eve through the suggestions of the serpent and was developed when she chose to act upon her desire and disobeyed God’s law.
Even though Eve sinned, the activation of the effects and punishment for sin did not take effect until Adam disobeyed the law because he got his instructions directly from God while Eve received her instructions about God’s law from Adam. (Genesis 3)
Can anyone make another person sin? No, we sin by choice.
